  • What is gold-filled jewellery?
    Gold-filled jewellery is the best alternative to solid gold - it can last for years with proper care. With a much thicker layer of real gold than gold plated and gold vermeil pieces, available at a lower price point compared to solid gold, it's no surprise that gold-filled jewellery is our favourite.   • How should I care for my DAVID X JONATHAN pieces?
    On a day-to-day basis, keep your pieces away from harsh chemicals such as sunscreen, lotions, perfumes, and soaps. Such materials can adversely react with your jewellery and cause them to tarnish more quickly. Rinse your piece with water and gently dry them if they come in contact with these products. As pools also contain a high concentration of chemicals for disinfection, it is best not to wear your pieces while swimming. That said, it is entirely up to you on where and when you want to wear your jewellery. Just keep in mind that your pieces may tarnish more quickly if exposed to heat, chemicals, and light. Once in a while, clean your gold-filled jewellery by running them under tap water briefly. Dry them gently with a non-abrasive cloth to remove any chemicals or dirt particles. Try not to leave them to air dry to prevent tarnishing. Individual pieces that require more care will have specific care instructions on their product pages.
  • Can I wear my jewellery in the shower?
    A little water never hurt anyone (well, not gold-filled jewellery anyway). If you choose to shower with your jewellery, ensure that they do not come into contact with soaps, and if they do, quickly rinse them with water. Dry them as soon as possible after a shower to prevent tarnishing.
  • Can I wear my jewellery while working out?
    Yes, you can. However, while our pieces are sweat-proof, they react differently to everyone's unique body chemistry. Wearing your jewellery while working out means that your pieces are more exposed to your sweat, which they may or may not respond well to. As this is very individual, the only way to know whether your sweat may be tarnishing your jewellery is through trial-and-error. To err on the side of caution, you may choose to remove your pieces before working out. We're sure they won't mind!
  • How should I store my jewellery?
    When your pieces are not worn, do not leave them on bathroom counters or on any other moist surfaces. Instead, store them in a cool and dry location, or in the pouch provided.
  • Will my jewellery tarnish?
    Although gold-filled jewellery is low-maintenance, improper care and handling will result in quicker tarnishing and eroding of the gold layer. Even though gold-filled products will last longer than gold plated ones, all gold jewellery that is not solid gold will eventually tarnish with time. Gold-filled products are not 100% tarnish proof and will undergo tarnishing more quickly with exposure to chemicals and sunlight.
  • Are gold-filled earrings suitable for sensitive ears?
    Our earrings do not contain any nickel (the metal that is usually the cause of adverse reactions for those who have sensitive ears) in the gold alloy layer. Hence, these earrings are suitable for those with sensitive ears, especially if your ears have not reacted adversely to solid gold. However, everyone's skin reacts differently to various materials and we cannot guarantee that they are suitable for everyone.
  • How do I measure my ring size?
    To measure your ring size, wrap a non-stretchy string, ribbon, or piece of paper around your finger and mark the spot where the string overlaps. Measure the length of the string on a ruler and use our size chart below to find your ring size. If you are in-between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
  • How do I choose the perfect necklace length?
    We currently offer necklaces in 16", 18", or both. These two lengths pair nicely with almost every outfit. Typically, a 16" necklace on a woman will fall around the base of the neck, or at the collarbone for a woman with a smaller neck, or wrap around the neck like a choker for a plus size woman. An 18" necklace on a woman will typically sit nicely on the collarbone. On a man with a smaller neck, it will sit at the base of the neck. We also offer a 2" detachable extender, so your 16" and 18" necklaces can also be worn as 18" and 20" ones respectively. A 20" necklace on a woman will typically fall below the collarbone, and on a man, will typically sit on the collarbone. 20" is the most common length for men's necklaces. The best way to decide on a necklace length is to use a necklace that you already own as a reference. If you are not sure about your necklace's length, measure it with a ruler.
  • How much does shipping cost?
    For orders within Singapore, we deliver via: i) SingPost tracked service - your package will be delivered to your mailbox; or ii) Ninja Van regular courier service - your package will be delivered to your doorstep. Orders below S$65 will be charged a flat rate of S$2 for SingPost tracked service. Free SingPost tracked shipping will be offered to all orders above S$65. Customers can opt for Ninja Van courier service at S$5.50 regardless of order value. For international orders, shipping costs will depend on the country of destination.   • When will I receive my order?
    All orders will be dispatched from our studio within two working days unless otherwise stated in the product description. Local orders Our packages will be delivered by SingPost's tracked service or Ninja Van courier and will take two to four working days to reach your mailbox from the time of dispatch from our studio. International orders Information on international delivery times can be found on our shipping and delivery page.
  • Do you ship internationally?
    We have stopped offering international shipping on the website for the time being. However, we can entertain international requests. Simply email info@davidxjonathan.com and let us know your destination country.
  • How can I track my package?
    All packages come with a tracking number and link which will be sent to your inbox via email after dispatch. SingPost packages can be tracked on SingPost's website. Ninja Van packages can be tracked on Ninja Van's website.
  • How can I amend a mistyped address?
    Email us at info@davidxjonathan.com within an hour of placing your order so that we can amend your address before shipping your order out. If it has been more than an hour, let us know and we will work something out with you.
  • What is your return policy?
    We offer a 14 day return and exchange policy. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your jewellery, we offer returns or exchanges on all items purchased, except earrings and customised items, within 14 days of dispatch. You may refer to our entire policy here.
  • Delivery services
    At the moment, we deliver via: i) SingPost tracked service - your package will be delivered to your mailbox; or ii) Ninja Van regular courier service - your package will be delivered to your doorstep.
  • Dispatch and delivery times
    ​All orders will be dispatched from our studio within two working days unless otherwise stated in the product description. ​​ All Singapore orders will take 2 to 4 working days to reach your mailbox from the time of dispatch from our studio.

  • What currency are your products in?
    All prices on the website are in SGD.
  • Can I pay in a currency besides SGD?
    As we are only fulfilling orders within Singapore at the moment, we will only accept payments in SGD.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express payments. We also accept payments through PayNow and PayLah!. Simply choose "Manual Payment" at checkout and follow the instructions. Your order will be confirmed once we receive your payment.
